Dragoon is a melee dps job in Final Fantasy XIV that uses a combination of high flying jump attacks and draconic energies to disembowel its enemies. They can only be played by reaching level 30 in the Gridania Lancer class and completing each of the associated class quests.
1.
What is Dragon's style of play?
Dragoon is a relatively strict melee rotation DPS with slow base rotation along with hectic and crowded burst windows. The dragon wields a spear to utilize a variety of slashing and jumping maneuvers, as well as channeling the power of dragons, using its power to fire blasts of energy.
Dragoon carries a powerful attack utility through litany of battley
dragon visionThe first amplifies the party's critical strike rate (not damage) for a short duration every two minutes, increasing the potential damage of the entire invading party. The latter increases the outgoing damage of the Dragon and a single chosen partner every two minutes, allowing you to further buff your strongest ally. Like other melee dps, Dragoon also brings
Falsefor additional minor defensive support.
Additionally, the core rotation focuses on alternating your two main combos: the chaotic springcombo for damage over time and
push from heavencombo for raw damage, while weaving in a series of powerful jumps and dragon-themed abilities. Basic rotation is easy to play, and its “push everything on cooldown” approach to maxing out makes it a pretty beginner-friendly option among melee DPS options.

Direct rotation without randomness.
Strong attack buff utility.
High personal DPS.
weaknesses
Frantic and frequent broken windows.
The opener lacks a full blast.
Only melee that doesn't have a personal mitigation cooldown.
3.
How to unlock Dragon?
Dragoon upgrades one of the starting classes, Lancer, at level 30. If you didn't start out as a Lancer, you can unlock the class in the Lancer Guild in Old Gridania (x14.0, y6.0), starting at level 10 by talking to Jillian.
Once you reach level 30 as a Lancer and finish all seven class quests, you can head back to Jillian to get the Eye of the Dragon quest. Upon completing this quest, you will receive the Dragon Job Stone, unlocking Hopin the process. Equip the Last Tab Stone in your Armory Chest to become a Dragon.

dragon gauges
The dragon meter changes display depending on what actions you use and at what time. In the image below, the giant glowing eye is your First Brood Gaze, and the two purple, scale-like objects are your First Mind Focus. It also shows the two phases of the indicator: Dragon's Blood (left) and Dragon's Life (right).
The gauge itself is only unlocked at level 54 when you learn Dragon blood. At this level, everything is a beautiful picture that means your
Hopy
puzzle divingthey are stronger. At level 70, you accumulate Gaze of the First Brood, which accumulates from zero to one or two each time you perform
mirage dive, learned at level 68. You activate this ability by first using
Hopor, after level 74,
High jump. When the Gaze is at its strongest (two stacks), your next
Geirskogul(level 60) will change your Blood meter to Life. it becomes
Geirskogulem
Nastrond(level 70) and unlocks the use of
beginner diver(level 80). The timer starts at 20 seconds at level 70 and extends to 30 seconds at level 78. This allows for two uses of
Nastrondoriginally, and three later. After the time expires, you return to the Blood of the Dragon.
The other part of the meter, Firstminds' Focus, is unlocked at level 90. You gain a stack (up to a maximum of two) each time you successfully perform raiden boosto
draconian fury, which act as "rewards" for completing a combo. When your focus is strong enough (two stacks), you can perform a
Wyrm's Wind Push, which clears all stacks. Below is a quick link to go straight to the rotation guide to get a better idea of how all these pieces work together.

dragon's wisdom
Of all the things that symbolize the nation of Ishgard, few are more recognizable than the dragon. Born into the eternal conflict between men and dragons, these spear-wielding knights have evolved a style of aerial combat so that they can better pierce through scales. skins of your mortal enemies.
Taking the firmament as if it were an extension of the earth, they descend on the enemy with their whole body behind the blow. It is this penetrating power that characterizes the dragon.
